Privacy policy
We have written this privacy policy to explain to you, in accordance with the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation, which information we collect, how we use data, and what choices you have as a visitor to this website. Unfortunately, due to the nature of this subject, these explanations may sound quite technical. However, we have made an effort to describe the most important aspects as simply and clearly as possible.
Automatic Data Storage
When you visit websites today, certain information is automatically created and stored, including on this website. When you visit our website, our web server (the computer where this website is hosted) automatically stores data such as the IP address of your device, the addresses of the pages you visit, details about your browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.), and the date and time. We do not use this data and typically do not share it, but we cannot exclude the possibility that this data may be accessed if illegal behavior is suspected.
Storage of Personal Data
Personal data that you electronically transmit to us on this website, such as name, email address, address, or other personal details provided through a form submission or blog comments, will be used by us only for the stated purpose, securely stored, and not shared with third parties. We use your personal data solely for communication with those visitors who expressly wish to contact us and for processing the services and products offered on this website. We will not share your personal data without your consent, but we cannot exclude the possibility that this data could be accessed in the event of illegal behavior. If you send us personal data via email – outside of this website – we cannot guarantee secure transmission and protection of your data. We recommend that you never transmit confidential data via email without encryption.
Cookies
Our website uses HTTP cookies to store user-specific data. A cookie is a small data packet exchanged between the web browser and web server, which is meaningless to them but becomes relevant to the web application, such as an online store, e.g., the contents of a virtual shopping cart. There are two types of cookies: first-party cookies, created by our website, and third-party cookies, created by other websites (e.g., Google Analytics). We distinguish three categories of cookies: strictly necessary cookies to ensure basic website functionality, functional cookies to ensure website performance, and target-oriented cookies to enhance the user experience. We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They allow us to recognize your browser when you visit again. If you do not wish this, you can configure your browser to notify you about cookies and allow them only on a case-by-case basis. You can delete or disable cookies at any time. The process for doing so differs by browser, and it’s best to search Google for instructions, such as “delete cookies chrome” or “disable cookies chrome” in the case of a Chrome browser or replace the word “chrome” with the name of your browser (e.g., edge, firefox, safari). If you generally do not allow us to use cookies, meaning you disable them via browser settings, some functions and pages may not work as expected.
Google Analytics Privacy Policy
We use Google Analytics from Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) on this website to statistically evaluate visitor data. Google Analytics uses target-oriented cookies. For more information on terms of use and privacy, please visit http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/en.html or https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en.
Pseudonymization
Our goal, in accordance with GDPR, is to improve our offerings and our web presence. Since we value the privacy of our users, user data is pseudonymized. Data processing is based on the legal requirements of § 96 para 3 TKG and Article 6 EU-GDPR paragraph 1 lit a (consent) and/or f (legitimate interest) of the GDPR. With the help of the browser add-on for disabling Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, dc.js), website visitors can prevent Google Analytics from using their data. You can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
Google Analytics Data Processing Agreement
We have concluded a direct customer agreement with Google for using Google Analytics by accepting the “Data Processing Addendum” in Google Analytics. More about the Data Processing Addendum for Google Analytics can be found here: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/3379636?hl=en&utm_id=ad.
Google Analytics IP Anonymization
We have implemented Google Analytics’ IP address anonymization on this website. This feature was developed by Google to ensure compliance with applicable data protection regulations and recommendations of local data protection authorities in case they prohibit the storage of full IP addresses. IP anonymization/masking takes place as soon as the IP addresses arrive in the Google Analytics data collection network, and before any data storage or processing takes place. For more information on IP anonymization, please visit: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2763052?hl=en.
Google Analytics Demographic and Interest Reports
We have enabled the Advertising Reports features in Google Analytics. Demographic and interest reports contain information about age, gender, and interests. This helps us better understand our users, without being able to attribute this data to specific individuals. You can learn more about advertising features here.
Your Rights
As a data subject, you have the right to request information, rectification, deletion, restriction, data portability, withdrawal, and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority, whose website you can find at https://www.dsb.gv.at/.
